This is my contents page, I have used the same writing as on the front cover as I don't want it to be too different. I have put in the contents what will be inside the magazine. The main image in the background is also in college of two of my friends just messing around. The smaller image is again also of my friends outside of college messing around too as it applies to the caption underneath that is asking what do they get up in their free time. this is different to the front cover as it shows the fun side of collage students, whereas the front cover in my opinion is more serious.

This is my magazine cover that I created. It is for the college I go to, and the main image I used was of a friend of mine who goes to the college looking out of the window of one of the staircases in the college. My masthead is college days because it is about what the students get up to in their college days. There is another image of some of the students in the 6th form area and a text box underneath explaining the meaning of the picture and where to find more information. There is a further two text boxes for more information on what is inside the magazine. Also I have added the price at the bottom and date as well as the logo at the top left hand corner which is of the college logo itself.  

ideas for my photoshoot

Ok so I have been planning my front cover photo for my music magazine and my first ideas were:

• a scene outside
• with a mixed gender rock band

and after this I thought I don't like this and it's not going to work outside so I changed it to:

• a stereotypical girl band/ or just two girls as the main singer with a band behind them.
• the picture will rather be set on the stairs with them looking directly into the camera, or if it is the two girls it will be the pair of them on the stage singing into microphones with the band playing behind them.
• the props used for the first option would be obviously the stairs, though i do need to think about this idea more. but the other option has been thought about a lot as I have thought I could have the two girls standing on the stage singing into these microphones if possible

Also with the band behind them playing their instruments.




But these are just rough ideas i have started with.

my analysis of my survey research.

• From the research on survey monkey have I found that the majority of people answering were female in the age group of 16 to 18.

• I found that 41.7% of people who answered rarely read a magazine.

• 54.2% of people would rather read a music orientated magazine though that was closely followed by 45.8% of people wanting it to be about films.

• The price they said they would pay would be in between 50p and £1.00

• when i asked what they would like to see in a magazine the main responses were celebrity gossip, music and film news and TV news.

• 66.7% said that they would prefer it to be released in the summer.

• 58.3% of people said that they would not like a them though the 45.8% that said they would suggested that the theme should be something along the lines of anything to do with celebrities and music and have bold prints and colours.

The pros of doing my survey on survey monkey is that it is a much quicker way of collecting data and totalling up the percentage of people that answered which also makes it easier to explain the answer because you don't have to calculate the numbers.

The cons of doing it on survey monkey is that I can't really tell the persons emotions, so I don't know if they are serious or joking. so this means i can't tell if the results are truthful or if they are writing it for a laugh.

Analysing we love pop magazine

Magazine- WE LOVE POP

We love pop is also a gossip magazine sold across the country and is made for teenage girls. This is designed to tell them about their favourite celebrities and new fashion trends. for example in this one it is targeted mainly for the TWFanmily who are the wanted's fan base as they are the central picture of the magazine so they are the main interview in it. The title we <3 pop is in the top left corner, this is so that when the magazines are placed on the shelf they can see the title of what it is.

 

For the colour scheme the colours are really bold and bright  colours the pink and the the blue, the colours make it brighter and it stands out more on the shelf. The magazine also has a skyline at the top as well as a sell line.  It also has the basics like a bar code date and price.

Magazines- MORE

MORE magazine is sold nation wide. It is a gossip magazine, made for teenage girls or young women, as their target audience.
It not only contains the topic of what celebrities are up to but what is happening in real life situations, for example in the magazine I was analysing they had an article about how a couple had split and why.

The title is situated at the top and it is clear for the reader to see what magazine it is.the central image of this magazine is beyonce meaning she is the main interview in the magazine, so it attracts her fans making them want to buy it for her interview. The 210 new summer drops is the buzzword of the magazine as it is clearly stated on the left side and is one of the things that the magazine wants to have to get the readers attention, and also the writing on beyonce such as Queen bee can be considered as the buzz word as well.

obviously the magazine has the essentials like the date, price and bar code. And another essential is the images though they are one of the main selling point of the magazine. The colour scheme is important to as it definitely tells us that it is a girls magazine as the colour is a pastel pink, making it girly.

  Kerrang (music)

 such as kerrang are popular with people who just want to read about the genre that they like. for example this kerrang magazine is focused on artists from the genre of punk and rock. Music magazines do not have to be all about the artists sometimes they are about instruments like guitars or drums.

                                                  

 

 We love pop (teen magazine)

are designed for teenage girls as they are full of all the information that they want to know like what there celebrity crush is up to, the new celeb gossip and new fashion statements they want to know. there are many magazines like this on the market right now. 

 SciFiNow (sci-fi magazine)

this is a science fiction orientated magazine they are for people who are in a cult following such as star trek or star wars this will give them the information they want to know about the film or series and maybe some knew information they have been waiting for. Also it can be seen as a collectors item.

 Style at home (interior design magazine)
This magazine is basically for people wanting to redecorate their houses or flats etc. they will use this as a basis for how they would want their home to be like and it will give them ideas as well.
