I asked my friend what she thought of my magazine and she said she thought it was very summery and obviously targeted towards girls who are in their teens. She said that i also need to justify my text and that i need to concentrate more on my text and colours.

someone else said that they thought it was cool and colourful and that they really liked how it was set out.
another person said it was pretty and really girlie, and that you can easily tell the target audience.

I have added more colour to this and have again rearranged it and have also made everything larger and brighter as to catch the readers eye, and also appeal to a younger audience. I have also changed one of the articles so it is the same as my final edit of my front cover. I tried to change and make the writing as even as possible but that was one of the difficulties I faced when re- doing it.

This is my final front cover I have added some alternatives to the original, such as with the warm bodies text I had a picture where as now I have decided to have one for the summer deals text. I have also moved the writing for "we meet the girls from failing chemistry" as it was hard to read it where it was originally. I have changed one of the articles as well so this will also change in my contents page. I have made this page as bright as I can so that it stands out and have tried to incorporate more pictures than writing to appeal to a younger generation.

This is my final piece for my double page spread, I've rearranged it and have made the interviewer questions pink. I have also added extra pictures. I feel this looks better as it is set out in a more easier way then the last one.

This is my double spread page, I have left it simple because it makes the writing clearer and easier to read and I like the simple layout, and I have also colour so-ordinated the names so finding a suitable background was hard, but I prefer it like this.

This is my finished front cover, I've included posters of bands and other artists to entice the reader into picking this magazine up and have made it relevant to the time of year with the relevance to Easter.

This is the main picture for my double page spread as I think it is very sweet and posed well. they are all huddled together as they are close friends. it also is suitable for my double page spread as I knew i definitely wanted to have a landscape picture for my double page spread. so this one is perfect for it.

This is my final edit for a picture on my double page spread. origionally the writing on the sign was not voloured in so i edited it in photoshop so that the writing could be seen clearer. I also chose this as i thought it was a fun picture on Emily from the band.

This is the finished product of my contents page, I made it very loud in colour and girly as it is targeted at mainly girls.

I'm using this for my contents page as it looks fun and just shows the band messing about and not really being very serious. this wasn't a serious picture, and they were making this up while thinking of other poses so i thought this was appropriate to show their fun side and not always be serious.

I've used this within my double page spread as it tells us the band name and I like how simple it is, though I'm going to edit it so the letters are coloured in.

this is my picture for my front page, i made it brighter in photo shop as there was a shadow on their faces so i brightened it. I chose this because it is really sweet and simple.

I have done my photo shoot and have selected the pictures I want for my magazine so now all I need to do is edit them and arrange them.

 we are now moving on to the main part of the course which is making our own music magazine, but the front cover, contents page and double page spread.

I am planning my music magazine and I have decided that its going to be targeted at mainly teenage girls like the magazines such as Bliss and We love pop.
 
 
The names I am considering so far for the magazine so far are rather:

1. white noise
2. musicology
3. falsetto

 
 The main feature is going to be on a band called Failing Chemistry who are a four piece girl band. there will be an interview and i will do a photo shoot to that I'm hoping will involve LOADS of glitter..... hopefully. I would like the shoot to be outside but that will be quite difficult, so inside would be best.
